Party dress edition

It started with this

And "this" had been hanging in my closet for 16 years.  What a waste, right?!?  Then I saw this and loved it.  Not sure if it was the color, the gorgeous Frieda Pinto or that dress on her.  Anyway, it got me thinking.

 

I have this amazingly talented friend who took this, that, and my measurements.  We ended up with a "new" dress - which you can't really see too well in this picture.  But the details are beautiful right down to the French seams, even the zipper is recycled.
