To Patrick O'Brien from Connor Willis

Dear Patrick O'Brien,

I have borrowed some of your books from my school's library. They give me lots of facts. I think your books are great! I want you to write some more. Here are a few things I'd like to read about:

* The Duck-billed Platypus
* Famous towers, and
* Volcanoes.

Sincerely,
Connor Willis

Connor, I'm really glad you like my books. I like your ideas — I have even thought of doing a book about famous skyscrapers. But my next book will be about Mars. It will be available in a few months. It will be called "You Are the First Kid on Mars" and my son Alex (2nd grade) will be the kid.
Thanks for writing, and keep on reading!

Patrick
