Today marks DAY 6 of Connor's foray into the feline world. Last Sunday he asked to wear his lion costume. I thought it was a reasonable request; I had no idea that I was creating a monster! He wore it to school all week, the bank, the grocery store, the coffee shop, you get the idea. We also have to call him "Muffassah" when he's in character.
The costume is starting to look and smell like an actual lion, I imagine. I can't wash it because the fur won't make it . . . hmmmmm, that gives me an idea!
The above picture is of Connor and his new bear, Zeethan. Connor brought Zeethan to life at Skylar's Build-a-Bear Birthday party. He has taken such good care of Zeethan -- making sure he's buckled up in the car, keeping him busy in the bouncy seat or playmat, watching the Lion King together, and breastfeeding him. The frenetic pace of caring for a newborn must have gotten to Connor because he finally admitted, "I'm not going to breastfeed Zeethan today. I'm just too tired." Then he asked for a bottle for his tiny babe.
In other news, Camden has started solid foods. I'm not sure that the rice or oatmeal cereal agree with him. His body has responded kind of like Connor's did, but Greg promises that Connor's intolerances were much, much worse. Eating cereal sure does help him sleep a little longer in the morning!
