For my birthday we made a trip to the San Antonio Zoo. It's a wonderful zoo, if you happen to have a chance to go. The weather was mild enough for all the animals to be especially active. So were the busloads of elementary school kids who were on field trips! Connor didn't seem to mind, though. His favorite animal of the day: the gibbons. My favorite animal: a strange breed of animal about the size of a llama with the head of a giraffe & the rump of a zebra, stripes & all. I kid you not! The species wasn't discovered until 1901 -- I've never seen anything like it. Wish I'd gotten pics of it.
